The garden also has a small number of 10' x 10' plots for $20 a year. For even more information, check the bulletin board at Koppel Farm - located at the corner of Derby Street and Professional Mall Blvd. Community garden plots are available at the Koppel Farm to anyone interested in growing food in a healthy and environmentally friendly way. Orientations will be offered on a variety of subjects, such as water conservation, weed and pest control, and improving soil without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers.

Gardeners at the farm are asked to make a commitment to the following guidelines:

1. Maintain your plot(s), adjacent pathways, & help to maintain the "commons" (e.g, garden perimeter, common compost, etc.).
2. Commit 2 hours per month to work together at common tasks (e.g., clean-up efforts).
3. No chemicals are to be used in garden plots. Alternative methods of pest and weed control include row covers, digging out quack grass, collecting potato beetles, mulching, etc.
4. Conserve water and respect other gardeners and their plots/produce. The neighborly approach to other gardeners is to share work, ideas, and the food you grow.
